A: We are available every day online. Our transcribers are located in United States, Canada and other parts of North America and worldwide so transcripts can be done any time, day or night, in any time zone.

Q: How can you assure me of your quality?

A: Way With Words North America invests extensively in its recruitment, selection, training and probation programs. On average Way With Words employs and contracts only 0.5% of the many typists who apply to work for us. This, and a series of operational policies and checks, ensure that your transcript is as accurate as you can get for the audio file received. Should there be any client issue or question about our quality, all inquiries are ticketed by us for a thorough review and response. We are proud of our service product.

Q. What are the audio/video file formats for which you can provide transcription services?

A: All audio and video formats including: dss, mp3, wav, mov, mp4, aiff, mpeg4, wma, ra, CD, DVD, and more. We recommend recordings though be made in MP3 format where possible.

Q. How do I send my audio/video files?

A: Directly through our web site. Follow the instructions from the "Upload Files" link. It's simpler than you might believe.

Q. I have a problem copying my audio/ video files from my CD/ DVD onto my PC to upload through your web site. Any suggestions?

A: Yes. To avoid the expense of a digitising service, we recommend that you download one of the many free or low-cost "ripping" software. Two sources we can suggest are:

Video files can be huge, so lowish settings should be used. We would discourage clients from ripping to video in view of the file size but one way to reduce the size of a video file is to upload it to a Youtube account, and then download the resulting flv file.

Q. How will the transcribed audio/video files be sent back to me?

A: After completing the transcription of your audio/video files, we can email the transcript in MS Word to you. We can email the transcript in many other formats on request.

Q. What is your turnaround time for transcription services?

A: You can choose the turnaround time you prefer and according to your budget. We specialize in processing large audio volumes and quick turnarounds.

Q. Do you follow a quality assurance process?

A: Yes, as stated earlier, we do not comprise on quality and employ the highest calibre transcribers internationally. Only 0.5% of applicants who apply to join our company are eventually considered for employment. All candidates undergo an intensive training process over a 6 month period. In addition, we have a Quality Control process in place to ensure ongoing checks on our transcribers with the work they continue to do.

Q. Do you sign Confidentially Agreements?

A: Yes, we take security, privacy and confidentiality very seriously. If the client requires, we sign a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA), Service Level Agreement (SLA) or other Confidentiality Agreement (CA) on review.
